This is quite UNtypical of Seoul. Thirty years ago you had to put a padlock on your back pocket and a chain on your purse, but today you can leave something sitting on a coffee shop table and be pretty confident that it will be there when you return.

CheBu-dong Market. See more views here.

CheongGyeCheon. It's not only the stream. See what I mean here.

A late-afternoon shot on the campus of Sungkyunkwan University, where I taught for over 25 years. That's the outside wall of the Sunggyun'gwan, the highest institute of learning during the Choseon Dynasty and an inexhaustible font of photos throughout the year. You can find more views here.

Southeast Seoul from Namhansanseong Park. The park is built on the site of a 2,000-year-old wall, from the Koguryeo Dynasty. Learn more about it here.

That's Namsan and downtown Seoul way off there in the distance. The shot is taken from Geumseon Temple, in northern Seoul.

Rite to the Mountain God, in Jeongneung at the foot of Mount Bukhan. Check out more shots of Jeongneung here.

Near Gyeongheui (Kyounghee) University. You can more shots of the neighborhood here.

A labor rally on DaeHakNo, from one end of the 1-kilometer street to the other.

The flags and martial music were stirring, even to this cynical photographer.

That's all, Folks!
