I forgot to get the name of this Buddhist temple, but I'm sure it's on Rt. 57, heading toward Phnom Sampov from Battambang. This is the original temple; the newer one is in back. This temple has the largest number of interesting statues that I have seen in Cambodia.

The ones being carried are a man and a woman. I call this "the statue temple" because there is a lot more statuary on the grounds than there is at most other temples.

Why would a man in a Western suit be honored in a Buddhist temple? Could it be a practice similar to the one in Thailand, where the late King was ensconced in a position equal or almost equal to Buddha?
