and guide Ratha Nat. To my regret, I didn't ask him questions when I should
have, and he didn't offer information, probably because my absence of
questions led him to believe I wasn't interested.

A
tomb of a monk at Prasat Sneung Pagoda, built in the 12 century. Only
a little is left of the original temple; a newer temple shares the compound.

But
where are his ashes?
Wat
Boeng Raing. It's quite new, built by an overseas Cambodian. It's on National
Road 57, about 30 miles outside Battambang.
This
statue of the Buddha and the reclining Buddha in the next photo are on
the grounds of Wat Boeng Raing.

hammock cafe. Don't let this cafe for sleeping give you the idea that
Cambodians are lazy--in the 15 or 20 cafes of this sort that I have seen,
only one had only one customer.
