David Denton has got an appropriate characteristic for the job and that tells us that it would be a big loss to WNYN if they let him go. Even though there has been some misdeed in the process of showing his suitability of characteristic that could cause WNYN to consider firing him, we cannot ignore the fact that his appropriateness of his characteristic in the job is highly valuable. Those characteristics are his enthusiasm, readiness and confidence. To start with, his enthusiasm is one of his highest values. We can see it from his two years of volunteer work for the college without getting paid. And he also went alone to the hospital to spend three hours to plan the whole thing without attending the staff meeting that Grace had called. This put him in an undesirable situation, but his enthusiasm made him do it anyway. Another good attitudethat WNYN does not want to lose is his readiness. When Bob was worrying about Marsha being late to the Denver trip, David assured him that he had studied the files, which included technical information. Moreover, Grace acknowledged that the space exploration special done by David all alone looked really good, which tells us that it probably required a certain amount of preparation. Another good cahracteristic he has got is his confidence, enough to do Marsh'as job not long after he got hired. For most of the interviews where Marsha didn't or couldn't show up, he was full of confidence. For example, when Bob asked him in the airport whether he was sure he could handle the interview without Marsha, he replied in full confidence, "Absolutely!" These qualities of enthusiasm, readiness and confidence show his suitability for his job and how big the loss would be to WNYN if they actually decided to let him go.
