David should be fired if he doesn't throw away his
deceptiveness and insincerity. The first reason that we should fire him
is a something about his deception. He deceived Marsha and Bob to get
a promotion. He was a cameraman who worked as an assistant to the reporter,
Marsha. However he deceived Marsha to do the interviewing with Prof. Daniels
instead of her. He changed the time of interview from 2 P.M. to 11 A.M.
without discussing with Marsha. And then he did the interviewing and operated
the camera by himself at Prof. Daniels's office. Another instance of his
deception was when he deceived Bob to take over Marsha's duty of the Denver
Project. He had studied the files for the Denver Project, because he already
knew that Marsha wouldn't show up at the flight time. At that time he
told Bob that he could handle the Denver Project in place of her, since
he was ready for it. However he was just cameraman, not a reporter. It
is very suspicious that he studied the files even though he is only a
cameraman. The second reason that we should fire him is his insincerity.
He avoided explaining the reason that Marsha did not show up for the interview
with Prof. Daniels. He was aware of her absence at the time of interview,
because he altered the time without Marsha's knowledge. However he was
pretty evasive when Grace talked to him about the interview. And he asked
her not to make an issue out of it. Hence, if we do not let him go, an
atmosphere of distrust may begin to develop in our company.
