Sathorn,
one of Bangkok's showcase streets. All of these big buildings were built
in the last five years. Some, however, are incomplete because the money
ran out. (2005) |

The
mighty Chaophrya. Every non-Thai I have ever met regards the cool, refreshing
and rejuvenating ferry taxi and bus rides on this river one of the main
attractions of Bangkok, but a young Thai told me he would rather take
a taxi (and bake in the sun in the city's awesome traffic jams). |
