Temple was founded in 553, in the 14th year of the reign of the Shilla
dynasty King Jinheung. |

Palsangjeon, the only remaining wooden structure 5-story pagoda, and the country's tallest pagoda of any kind. It was destroyed in the Hideyoshi invasion in the 16th century and rebuilt right away, then repaired in 1968. (2006) | |
