Munsusa
is in Paju, Gyeonggi Province. |

The
only 3-level main hall that I've seen in Korea. |
||
The
entrance to the temple is lined with huge hangari (for kochujang,
dwenjang and other traditional condiments), and there are many more inside. |

Check
out the script on the far right. I thought they were highly stylized Chinese
characters, but Brian says they are "Sanskrit, the Mantra of Avalokitesvara,
i.e., Om Mani Pad Me Hum." |
||
Visitors
contribute to the temple by paying for a roof tile. They personalize it
any way they wish. |
