It's
not so hard to catch four on a bike, but five is a rare event. I had 2
seconds to get this shot; fortunately, in Jogjakarta photo permission
is a given. |

In
the lane Nogosari, an old residential neighborhood owned by the Sultan,
near the center of town. This is by no means typical of the pleasant,
well-maintained homes in the neighborhood. |

Speaking
of the Sultan, these ladies are dancing in the palace. (Performances are
held every Sunday and Thursday.) See more views of Kraton
dance performances. |

village just south of Yogyakarta. The theme of the project was connecting
art with the people. Get a closer look at Geneng
and its project. |

A
very disturbing photograph, quite a surprise in a Muslim environment.
The poster was gone a couple days later. |

It's a traditional dance, but every village does it differently. See more
views of jatihlan on this page. |
