Different Style, Different Person

Personalities decide people's lifestyles, and the wearing style of clothes is the important part of the lifestyle. Thus, the wearing style of one person shows us his personality. Therefore the difference of personalities between Mi-hyang and me can be shown through our different ways buying clothes.

Mi-hyang chooses new clothes of similar style considering her body's appearance and other clothes she has, which shows her rational and consistent personality. When she chooses clothes, she decides the size, color, and shape by the rational thinking, especially considering her body. For example, she only chooses the middle size that is proper for her body, even though the clothes of big size have been popular between the younger generation, because bigger clothes than her size makes her appearance more fat. She also chooses the deep color that she can look slender, and avoids box-style's T-shirts and pants. In addition to considering her body, she considers other clothes she has. When to buy T-shirts, she examines the color or shape of pants she already bought, then buys new T-shirts that is suitable for those pants. This rational personality makes her consistent style of clothes. She has many clothes of similar style because she always choose clothes that are suitable each other. Especially, she prefers cute style like teen-age girl, so she buys new clothes of this style. Even if someone incites her to buy new style's clothes, she will not change her style.

While Mi-hyang is rational and consistent, I am rather emotional and inconsistent. Even when I choose my clothes, this personality is revealed. I select clothes by the emotion of that moment, not by reason. So, if my feeling is good when I see some clothes, I just follow my feeling without hesitation. When I choose the size, color, and shape of clothes, I don't consider my body in contrast to Mi-hyang. If the color and shape of clothes are good, I buy it even if the size is smaller or bigger than mine because smaller clothes make me feel tension while bigger clothes make me feel comfortable, and I need both feelings in my life. I don't consider old clothes unlike Mi-hyang for I want to wear clothes of new style when I buy new clothes, so I don't buy clothes that are similar with clothes I have. As I choose clothes by the impulse of the moment, my clothes style is inconsistent. The size, color, and shape of clothes are various, and the style can be changed by the mood. If I want to be more active or free, I choose unisex casual style, but if I want to be womanly, I choose feminine dress. Like this, my style of clothes is changeable because of my emotional choice when I buy them.

The different ways buying new clothes reveal that I am emotional and inconsistent whereas Mi-hyang is rational and consistent. However, even though we have the difference of personalities, respective merits can complement each other and we can be good friends.
