juxtaposition of shabby and chic is a common sight in District 1.

Buddha statue is in the Rooftop Restaurant, in District 1.
The coloring and the face attracted me.
Yong-won
and Thao invited me to the delightful Rooftop Restaurant. The meal was
a delicious sampling of traditional Vietnamese cooking.
Come

Korean
barbecue in Korea Town, Phu My Hung. It's a modern, swank, sophisticated
area much unlike the old, deteriorating Korea Town in Los Angeles.
Old
and new--a hackneyed but still eye-catching theme. And it makes you wonder:
How do these venerable old derelicts stand up to the insatiable drive
of the developers?
Tet
in the park
During
Tet the few days around Tet there are many displays of ornamental trees
(bonzai), rock mountains and flowers.

Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts. Take
a look inside.
Chua
Thien Hau is in Cholon, the old Chinese section of the city. Come
on inside!
The
Ho Chi Minh City Zoo and Botanical Gardens are well worth a visit.
