Wat Jed Yod was a royal temple, built in the early fifteenth century. It is still probably the most significant temple in Chiang Mai, and certainly the most beautiful. You can find some good information about this important and beautiful temple at Renown Travel's website.

This is the original viharn (sermon, prayer hall), the center of the temple.

This is the west end of the original viharn. Apparently it is still the focus of most visitors' visits to Wat Jed Yod.

The Buddha in the west end of the original viharn (visible in the photo above this one). A unique face, isn't it?

These graves belong to patrons of the temple.
