Even in this neighborhood at the edge of Mandalay practically all the building materials are natural, and mostly one part or another of the bamboo plant.
 
 
 
 
 
I was not able to find a house in any village that was not very clean and very well-maintained. Note, for example, the apparent newness of the bamboo walls and ceilings.
 
 
 
 
 
Now if I were The General, I would make a law prohibiting fluorescent lighting or even electricity because it lessens the charm for us tourists.
 
 
 
 
 
The photographer says the dentistry sign on the wall makes him think a dentist works here.
