This is "the old harbor," the most colorful and interesting part of the city.

The old harbor from the other side. The tall yellow building at top center is the small (not expensive enough to call "boutique") hotel where I always stay.

Dongpirang is the neighborhood, high on a hill overlooking the harbor, famous for it street art. Every building is blessed with some kind of art. Check out some of the art here.

"Hallyeohaesang, designated as the country's first marine national park in 1968, covers an area of 510 square kilometers over six districts. In just the Geoje district, the Hallyeosudo waterway contains 69 uninhabited islands and 30 inhabited islands in the South Sea, according to the Korea National Parks Service website." (There is a lot more information in this article from Air Force Print News Today.) See more views taken from Mt. Mirae, an island south of Tongyeong's old harbor. More photos of Miraedo and Mount Mireuk here.
