The River Walks

Code River (Kali Code) runs from Mt. Merapi in the north, through the center of Jogja, into Kali Opak and then the Indian Ocean. Homes line the river on its journey through Jogja. They are lower and lower-middle class. Residents take pride in the cleanliness and aesthetic quality of their neighborhood, and their openness and friendliness make a delightful walk for visitors. (By the way, the Indonesian c is pronounced as ch.)
