Labrang Monastery, for Tibetan Buddhists, and the one-street town of Xiahe are a six hours' bus ride west of Lanzhou, in Gansu Province.

This is the monastery's entrance for the public. In the map below, it is the populated space that appears as a plaza. Wikipedia has a good article on the temple.
